Highlights of the KYCO-CSP Junior Children’s Trip to Bentong

Update
 KYCO-CSP Jr Children Visit to Bentong,
 5-6 Sept 2026

During the recent school Holidays, the KYCO-CSP Jr Children under our Education Assistance Program had a happy, fruitful and enriching Educational and Charity Visit to Bentong with their Mentor Teachers, CSP Team and KC Chu as well.

From the Children's feedback, it was truly heartening that the Overnight Trip had brought them lots of Joy, learning opportunities for they rarely have opportunities to leave their homes, and going on outstation Trips

The students have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and importantly gained lots of valuable lessons from their exposure:
1.In the Wat Mahamettaram Temple , Bentong, where they stayed, with joyous welcome from the Temple Chief, Rev Than Nit, and the loving arrangements and hospitality from our KYCO Bro Mike and Sister Amy who paved the way for the Trip from end to end.

2.Learning to do good deeds , including offering Dana to Rev Than Nit and helping to do simple cleaning and meals set up in the Temple

3.Visit to Orang Asli Settlement at Lurah Bilut, Pahang, helping with the distribution of Provisions, Food and Sponsored items to Orang Asli Children and 30 families

On behalf of CSP, Our deep grateful thanks for the generous contributions received from Donors, including Sifu, Simoh and the love from Bro Mike and Sister Amy.

And great thanks too to all CSP Mentor Teachers who have done an excellent job in organising the beneficial and joyous Trip.

They include:
GohTB, overall in charge; Ms Yap, coordinator with children's parents;
Philip for accounts;
Lilian and Teachers for your caring love
And Students and Parents for making this Activity worthwhile.

For all children and those in the Trip, there were many new learning experiences, moments of heartfelt caring love which they have received and  brought home.

We rejoice the positive impact and rich rewards from a simple Trip out of KL.
We also learnt from the children who are already wondering and wishing for another Trip, like this one.

Thank you all.

May we enjoy more trips of learning together and in so doing, we can appreciate our own good fortune in life

Arrival at Temple and briefing by  Bro Goh

Our reverence and gratefulness for Reverend Than Nit for his permission to stay at his big Temple and receiving his blessings

Offering of Dana to Rev Than Nit on behalf of KYCO Sifu and Simoh, Sponsors and CSP

Led by Reverend  Than Nit, we went to Orang Asli Settlement in Lurah Bilut. The children are feeling the great joys of sharing and distributing the CSP Food and Provisions to Orang Asli families & their kids

We took the opportunity  to enquire from the Orang Asli families about their lives especially their job, education, their income and hence we had  a glimpse into their  difficulties. By our city standard it's a reflection of " country mouse vs city " . Unless they can receive help to gain  firm steps into education, it will always be " sad stories".

Our heartfelt grateful thanks for all who have made a positive difference to the children during this short trip Then time to bid our fond goodbyes and gratefully receiving  blessings from Reverend
